The time has finally arrived for the launch of my very own apparel! To say I’m excited would be an understatement. I have honestly been working on this project for almost two years. When I first decided that I wanted to launch an apparel line, it just seemed like things were not falling into place. The shirt design, the shirts themselves and even the printing company were just not quite right and I was not okay with putting out something I wasn’t 100% satisfied with – that’s not me. Fast forward two years later and the idea I had back then has grown into something even better! Through this process I learned that anything good takes time. A dope idea is not going to become something great overnight and that’s okay because the more time and energy put into it helps develop that dope idea into something even greater.
The Message
She Apparel is my way of connecting with women on a personal level. My blog, She Experienced, started off as a way to share my experiences with other women in hopes to inspire them and She Apparel just takes it to the next level. I truly believe that we as women have so many of the same experiences, emotions, struggles, though they may take on different forms. Back when I struggled with low self-esteem, I found strength to overcome from the experiences of other women who struggled with the same thing. I kept getting inspired to embrace everything I hated about myself because I saw more and more women doing just that. I have grown to a place where I now want to be that inspiration for other women. I want to keep sharing my experiences, whatever it may be, in order to help women overcome life’s challenges. She Experienced is based on a verse that has helped make sense of a lot of things that I’ve gone through. Romans 8:28 says that all things work together for the good of them that love the Lord and are called according to His purpose. This has become the signature verse for She Experienced because it tells me that everything I’ve experienced is working together for MY good! How awesome is that?! I want every woman to know that what she has experienced in her life is all part of a greater purpose.
The Mission
When you purchase a shirt from She Apparel (because I know you can’t resist), I want you to think about some of the things you’ve experienced in your life and how God helped you to overcome. Think about which shirt helps you tell your story, you may even resonate with more than one shirt – that’s dope too! Whichever shirt(s) you choose I want to encourage you to talk about it, take selfies in your shirt, post your pics, share your story with someone else because you never know how your sharing may help break a chain.
