sherelle gilbert - about

created with purpose

I’m Sherelle Gilbert

and I'm creating a life I love.

After serving for many years as a social worker in mental health and children’s advocacy, I followed the calling of God to entrepreneurship.

I am the owner and content creator of She Experienced, a faith-based lifestyle brand for women. My brand includes social media content, apparel, and services dedicated to helping women navigate through difficult seasons.

As an infertility and miscarriage awareness advocate, I have used my platform to share my personal story and shed light on the vulnerable and taboo topic of infertility. I saw a void of representation of black women and women of color in the infertility community and desired to serve as that representation.

I hope to continue to share my experiences to inspire and empower others.

THE BRAND

"Just a girl who decided to go for it."

About the Girl

Fun facts.

  • I love coffee - a good flavored latte or chai with oat milk is my go-to. I'm obsessed with coffee shops and the vibes.
  • I married my not-so high school sweetheart. My husband had the biggest crush on me in high school but I was not interested and friend-zoned him.
  • I love to dance and when I was younger my sister, cousins and I would make up and learn dance routines to our favorite songs.
  • I am such a foodie. I love food and my favorites include: pizza, all things Mexican, Indian and Thai.
  • I'm such an introvert and LOVE my alone time. Even though I love spending time with family and friends, my favorite pastime is being alone.

The best compliment is the referral of your family or friends 🥰

I recently had someone refer their loved one to me for a consult and I felt so honored. You may not be looking to buy or sell, but you may know someone who is and I would love to help them! Send me a DM.

Fresh flowers in the kitchen are top tier and a great effortless way to elevate your island. Now that fall season is upon us, choose flowers that give you that fall feeling.

Here’s how I styled my fall flowers on my kitchen island:

1. I chose a vase that went with my vibe. Since fall is the vibe, I used my burnt orange pitcher as my vase.

2. I positioned the flowers according to my desired look - the taller stems in the back and the ivory colors on the outside with the pink and orange on the inside.

3. I used a stand to display my bouquet. Using a stand or a tray makes it the focal piece on your island and helps to group your decor pieces together.

4. Following the decor rules of 3, I added two additional pieces onto the stand - a candle and a beaded garland. This just tied the entire look together. You can add a candle and a small figurine, etc.

The completed look definitely gave fall vibes. Let me know in the comments what you think and if this is something you will try for your kitchen!

I’m at a point in my life where I’m learning to look at the challenges in life as opportunities for growth. I once looked at rain as a barrier to my plans, but now I see it as a necessity for plans even greater than my own to bloom.

The storms in life that we face seem so impossible to endure. They test our faith and push us to lengths we never knew we would go. I read a quote that says, “without rain, there can be no flowers. The greater the struggle the more beautiful the blooms.”

I feel encouraged to say, not much longer. Your bloom is coming.

If you needed this reminder, drop some flowers in the comments 💐

Every time I try a new @hellofresh meal, I say it’s my favorite. This one is in my top faves *chefs kiss*. I’ve never had crescent-wrapped salmon and was a little unsure at first but this one was a winner!

If you get exhausted with trying to figure out new meals to cook each week, I definitely recommend Hello Fresh. They always have something unique and it helps relieve the stress of always trying to figure out what to cook for dinner. Also the ingredients are always super fresh and that just elevated the meal altogether.

Have you ever tried @hellofresh? Let me know in the comments. 🥙

Also, anybody else been listening to 702 in memory of Irish or just me?! 🥺😭

As a first-time homebuyer the process can seem overwhelming and intimidating. I recently had a consultation with a first-time homebuyer and was able to walk her through the process but simplify it in a way where she felt comfortable and competent going into the process.

Even though this client isn’t ready to buy until next year, I told her now is the perfect time to start preparing. This gives them time to understand the process, speak with lenders and find the best program for them, and even save more money towards down payment and moving costs.

You don’t have to wait until you’re ready to speak with a realtor. I am a planner at heart and here to help you plan and prepare to live well through real estate 🏡

Ask me about my homebuyers guide!
