This is my honest review about my experience with Rocksbox. These are my own thoughts and opinions.
I was contacted a couple months ago by a representative from Rocksbox to try out their jewelry through a two month free membership subscription. My followers were able to receive one month free by using my discount code. During the three months I was a Rocksbox member (the first two months being free, third month I paid) I enjoyed receiving the jewelry in the mail as everything was packaged so nicely. Even though I liked getting the jewelry, I wasn’t too fond of the process of returning the jewelry when ready for a new set. While they did make it extremely convenient by providing you with a return label and packaging, I just didn’t like the idea of having to remember to pack up the jewelry and send it back. That’s just me. Also, the jewelry that I might have had for the month may have only been worn once or twice out of the month before I send it back. I didn’t like the idea of temporarily having the jewelry because if I needed it again, it was gone.
After the first two months I was charged the monthly fee of $19. That fee being pulled from my account helped me to remember to send it back! LOL. I didn’t renew my membership after that first month of being charged. $19 isn’t a lot but I didn’t feel it was worth the jewelry or the process. If you are not familiar with Rocksbox, it is a membership based service where you pay a monthly fee to “borrow” jewelry. It’s sent to you and you can return it at any time to get a new set. If you decide to purchase the set then, of course, you will be charged the price of the set. I didn’t like that the jewelry was worn before – I could tell with some of the pieces. The sets didn’t seem new at all, but I guess that’s part of the concept of it being “borrowed”.
Please forgive me as I did not get any pictures of me wearing the jewelry. When I actually had the jewelry on I never remembered to take pictures. So here are photos of the jewelry when I first received them (I did not get any pictures of my third set – I’m terrible lol):
The site enables you to create a wish list of jewelry you would like and then a “personal stylist” puts together pieces for you and they are sent to you in the mail. The process of receiving the pieces in the mail was kind of exciting because you really don’t know what you will get. Everything was so personalized and it really makes you feel like the set was customized to fit your style and personality! I received my sets very quickly in the mail. The response time was pretty fast, which I loved. I liked the process (minus remembering to return the jewelry lol) while it was free, but as I stated before it is not a service that I will continue. I don’t feel it’s worth the money as I’m on my financial peace plan and trying to save every dime I can 🙂
If you have tried Rocksbox I would love to hear about your experience. Are you still a member? Let me know!
Until next time…
